Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Neurosurgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Willingness to take on occasional charge responsibilities (training provided). Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in a Neurosurgical unit. Focuses on the care of patients with neurological diagnoses. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Expected to work every other full weekend unless otherwise approved. Candidates should be prepared to work at least one of the major winter holidays.
