management Description: This position is for a registered nurse in
a step-down unit. The role requires proficiency in managing
high-acuity patients transitioning from ICU. The nurse will have a
patient ratio of 1:4. The schedule requires two shifts every other
weekend. Candidates must have experience in direct patient care
within the last six months. Strong documentation skills are
essential, as charting will be done using an electronic health
record system. Candidates should be comfortable floating to lower
acuity floors as needed. Essential skills include monitoring
cardiac telemetry, managing sedation, and interpreting
dysrhythmias. The position will involve care for various patient
diagnoses related to acute medical care. The nurse may be
responsible for procedures such as managing cardiac drips and
monitoring ventilated patients. Successful candidates will
demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations effectively.
