LOUIS SCHOOL DISTRICT 189 POSITION TITLE: Network Analyst CLASSIFICATION: Non-Certified FLSA: Non-Exempt DEPARTMENT: Technology SALARY: Administrative Salary Schedule WORK YEAR: 260 Days REPORTS TO: Director of Technology/Media DESCRIPTION: Maintains computing environment by identifying (wired and wireless) network requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring network performance DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Cisco Networking Competent with 4 years' experience-Cisco certifications preferred Bachelor's Degree from Community College or Technical College Other qualifications as the Director of Technology/Media finds appropriate KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Network Performance Tuning Local Area Network / Wide Area Network knowledge Network Design and Implementation Problem Solving Strategic Planning Multi-tasking DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Essential Job Functions) Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet, and intranet systems Administer the following systems: Cisco Call Manager (VoIP phone system) and all related devices, Internet Content Filter, network firewall, other phone/fax services, including software deployment, security updates and patches Analyze and isolate network issues Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to all stakeholders Perform network address assignments Install and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure for the district Manage the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment such as air-conditioning system, UPS (uninterrupted power system) and fire protection system Monitor and updates Skyward Assign configuration of VPN Gateway, Fire wall and IDS Help organize and conduct technology related workshops and training sessions, as appropriate Report to the Director of Technology computer or software problems that require outside support or administrative input Maintain a positive attitude toward job related growth and improvement. Lift seventy-five (75) pounds on occasion as necessary, appropriate, or as directed by an administrator Revised 11/17/16
