Jimmy Sansone started the company by selling online out of his
parents’ basement in 2015, and was soon joined by his brothers,
Conrad and Lan to run it together. They opened their first brand
store in 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri, which has been voted the
number one men’s clothing store in St. Louis for two years running.
The Normal Brand now operates eleven brick and mortar stores of its
own around the country, sells to 500 wholesale partners, and sells
online through its website, which serves customers across the

TECHNICAL DESIGN ASSISTANT : This role will build on an existing
foundation of garment expertise. You will assist the Technical
Design Department in daily tasks including but not limited to;
organizing and maintaining garment samples, preparing for fittings,
and measuring garments, with many more ownership opportunities to
grow into. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES : Track and receive incoming
samples. Prepare samples for measuring and communicate to team that
samples are ready to pass off. Review garment construction and
compare to the tech pack as needed. Measure garments that come into
the department; Proto, SMS, Fit, Pre-Production, and TOP. Prepare
Fit Room with printed assets for daily cross-functional fittings.
Join daily departmental fittings; photograph samples and maintain
image library. Sit in handover meetings between design and
technical design. Work closely with development and production to
maintain timelines. Input Fit Comments and measurement data into
PLM as provided by Technical Designers. Prepare, ship, and track
outgoing international packages to multiple destinations. Maintain
active seasonal sample library; ensuring garments are filed
correctly and are easy to find. Keep team workspaces clean and
tidy. Facilitate transition between active sample library and
historical sample archive; including trips to offsite storage
location as needed. Assist with building reference sample library
and visual website tool. Requirements A person who joins our team
must be three things: humble, hungry, smart. We stole that from a
book written by a guy much smarter than us. In addition, to the HHS
requirements for all teammates, for this role, here are some other
things we are looking for: QUALIFICATIONS : Degree and 1-2 years’
experience in: garment construction, pattern making, or technical
design. Understanding of points of measure, garment construction,
and fit. A motivated, self-starter mentality eager to work within
an open-office environment and collaborate with multiple
departments of the company. Must be positive, a critical thinker, a
team player, very detail and solution oriented, and a fast learner.
Meticulous organizational, time management, and interpersonal
skills. Strong ability to multitask. Clear written and verbal
communication skills. Creative mindset with a great understanding
of fashion market and trends. Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS
Word, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) PLM experience is great—but not
required if you’re a fast learner. BONUS POINTS : Understanding of
specs and grading. Solid understanding of fabric types, finishes,
content, and how they affect fit. First-hand experience making your
own garments across a wide-variety of silhouettes and fabrications
