Job Description:
Seeking a talented Hadoop Administrator for a long term
contract, with the option to convert to an employee position. The
ideal candidate has a well-rounded Hadoop background to include
administration and development, and the ideal candidate has the
willingness and ability to work full time on site in the
Chesterfield office. Hadoop was designed and implemented within our
company in the fall of 2014, and this role will work closely with
the Hadoop Architect in supporting him in any Hadoop
support/administration efforts. Hadoop is still being implemented
throughout different departments across the enterprise, so some of
this Hadoop Admin work will be part of new implementations, and
some of the work will be supporting what has already been deployed.
The company is committed to making Hadoop a significant part of
their entire IT and business organization, so this is a great long
term opportunity to still be part of a new Hadoop implementation!
REQUIRED Qualifications: 7 years of IT experience, preferably in a
large enterprise environment 5 years of IT administration and/or IT
development experience 2 years of Big Data / Hadoop experience
Strong working experience within Hadoop Administration Desired
