Job Title: Senior Quality Analyst Location: Location: Hybrid – 2 days in Springfield 3 days remote Project Name: SharePoint Online Modernization Project Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to support enterprise-level software development initiatives. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in validating the functionality, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications. This role requires demonstrated expertise in designing and executing test plans, Conductive comprehensive system testing and facilitate user acceptance testing, and working within Agile development environments. Familiarity with SharePoint Online is essential. The QA Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts-to ensure that software solutions meet high standards of quality and user satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Planning and Execution Develop, document, and implement detailed test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business and functional requirements. Conduct manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across web-based and enterprise applications. Identify, log, and track software defects using standardized tools and processes. Ensure thorough validation of functional requirements, usability standards, and technical performance. 2. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Design and coordinate the execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans with business stakeholders. Facilitate UAT sessions, provide support and guidance to end-users during testing, and collect structured feedback. Document UAT results, including test execution summaries and issue logs, and follow up on resolution of UAT-related defects. 3. Agile Team Participation Actively engage in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint retrospectives. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and scrum masters to understand acceptance criteria and refine requirements. Ensure QA deliverables align with Agile iteration goals and timelines. 4. Functional Analysis and Validation Analyze and understand existing application features and business workflows to ensure accurate testing coverage. Participate in requirements review sessions to provide input from a quality assurance perspective. Recommend improvements in existing functionality and testing processes where applicable. 5. Strong SharePoint Online Knowledge: Deep understanding of site structures, libraries, lists, web parts, and M365 integrations. 6. Hands-on Testing Expertise: Proven ability to test SPFx customizations, Power Automate flows, and PowerApps. 7.Security & Compliance Testing: Skilled in validating permissions, access controls, and retention policies. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, including: Developing and executing manual test plans and test cases. Facilitating test execution cycles and documenting results in a structured format. Leading or contributing to User Acceptance Testing efforts. Minimum 2 years of experience working within Agile development environments, with an understanding of Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Proficient in writing, maintaining, and executing functional and regression test cases with precision and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills to interpret and validate system functionality against defined requirements. Demonstrated hands-on experience in testing SharePoint Online solutions and overseeing migration processes to ensure system integrity and performance. Effectively collaborated with cross-functional teams and organized QA-related documentation to support streamlined testing and knowledge sharing. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document issues, procedures, and outcomes. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with test and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), or TestRail. Exposure to automation testing tools or scripting environments. Prior experience working on projects within the public sector, education, finance, or healthcare domains.
