Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with Epic EMR. Details - Night shift position, 18:45–07:15 (3x12-hour shifts) - ICU setting within a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital - Patient ratio of 1:2 - Epic EMR experience required for this unit - Weekend requirement: 3 out of every 6 weeks - Floating required within scope to IMCU and ICU as needed to meet facility needs - No on-call responsibilities - Block scheduling is not available for this position Requirements - Active IL RN license required (pending IL license may be acceptable — contact recruiter for details) - Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required - Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) - Proficiency with Epic EMR required - Experience with line insertion assistance and intubation support required - Experience with hypothermia protocols required - Experience with CRRT/CVVHD required - Experience with IABP required - Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information - First-time travelers are not eligible for this position - RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation - Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler - Travelers may remain at a BJC facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required - Navy scrubs required - No parking costs at this facility - 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years will be required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-684116.
