Job Description:
Join SSM Health, a leading Catholic, not-for-profit health
system, as a Surgical Tech and contribute to our mission of
delivering exceptional healthcare services. This role is crucial
for maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room,
assisting surgeons during operations, and ensuring that all
surgical instruments are functioning correctly. As part of our
integrated health care delivery system, you will work in
technologically advanced facilities, supporting surgeons and other
medical professionals in life-saving procedures. Prepare operating
rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment is available
and sterile. Assist in surgeries by passing instruments and other
sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants. Operate
sterilizers, lights, or suction machines, and help operate
diagnostic equipment. Monitor and continually assess operating room
conditions, including patient and team needs. Adhere to strict
standards of hygiene, privacy, and confidentiality. Collaborate
with healthcare professionals to deliver efficient and effective
patient care during surgery. Ability to maintain quality, safety,
and infection control standards. Knowledge of surgical instruments
and operating procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Detail-oriented and capable of working in high-pressure
environments. Competence in handling sterilization equipment.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the
National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
(NBSTSA) is highly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification is required.
