registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Provide critical care as an experienced Registered
Nurse in a Step-Down Unit setting. This contract position offers
the opportunity to work night shifts in a reputable acute care
hospital, focusing on patients requiring close monitoring and
advanced nursing skills. Ideal candidates possess a minimum of two
years of relevant experience, with recent bedside practice in acute
care required. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized nursing
care to patients requiring intermediate critical care. - Manage
complex patient needs including vasopressors, sedation, insulin
drips, tracheostomy ventilators, arterial lines, external
pacemakers, and chest tubes. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary
teams to develop and implement patient care plans. - Utilize EPIC
for accurate and timely documentation. - Float within a defined
scope to lower acuity floors as needed. Qualifications and Desired
Experience: - Active RN license or pending license accepted (within
75 miles radius). - Two years of acute care nursing experience;
first-time step-down nurses are welcome. - Current certifications
in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale. - Recent bedside nursing
within the last six months. - Ability to titrate medications and
manage specialized equipment. - Strong clinical judgment and
effective communication skills. Schedule: - Night shifts, 3 times
per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM). - Weekend requirement:
approximately 2 shifts every other weekend; rotation varies between
Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Location:Position is based in
Saint Charles, MO, an area known for its blend of historic charm
