Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,130 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must pass EKG exam. Experience with telemetry, blood product administration, and wound care. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a medical surgical unit with a focus on trauma. The nurse will work with patients from the emergency department, operating room, or intensive care unit. Required patient diagnoses include geriatric trauma, abuse/violence victims, and acute care surgeries. The unit will serve a daily census of 50-55 patients. Nurses will float within their service line to meet facility needs. The nurse will be responsible for tasks such as peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and IV administration. Experience with insulin management, PCA, and spinal cord injuries is important. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care. Wound care and the use of specialized equipment such as wound vacs and external fixators will be essential tasks. Candidates should be comfortable with isolation precautions and care in high-acuity settings. The position involves working every other weekend and maintaining high patient safety standards.
