Job Description Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Telemetry- remote monitoring. Required Cardiovascular Case Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR band. Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management. Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy skills/experience: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA. Experience with Surgical drains required. Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management. Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Previous charge experience preferred. Cerner experience required. Teaching hospital experience preferred. Level I Trauma experience preferred. Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years' experience required./nWeekend REQ: Will work every other weekend/nCerts REQ: ACLS and BLS required./nWill clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes- will float to like units as needed./nPending License accepted: No- must have active IL license to apply./nRTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
