Join our healthcare team and make a difference in surgical patient care while enjoying the benefits of travel nursing in Illinois./n /n/nOperating Room RN Job Details/n /n - Job Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)/n - Location: Belleville, IL 62226 (Greater St. Louis area)/n - Employment Type: Travel/Locum Tenens/n - Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Operating Room/n - Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/19/2026)/n - Hours: 40 hours/week/n - Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (06:45 – 17:15)/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2440-$2510/n - Call Requirement: Weeknight and weekend call required (see below)/n - Float: May float between Belleville and Shiloh campuses/n - Charting System: EPIC/n - Scrub Color: Navy/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of application)/n - Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience/n - BCLS certification required; ACLS preferred/n - Proven experience independently first scrubbing across multiple surgical service lines/n - Strong competency in cardiac OR procedures and adaptability to surgeon preferences/n - EPIC charting experience preferred/n - Ability to function in both circulator and scrub nurse roles/n - Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of Belleville, IL/n - References preferred at time of submittal/n - Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)/n /n/nOperating Room Nurse Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver skilled perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced OR environment/n - First scrub independently in diverse service lines: endovascular/hybrid, neuro-spine, ENT, orthopedic, and robotic surgeries/n - Serve as both circulator and scrub nurse as needed/n - Participate in required call shifts: 17:15–06:30 weeknights and 06:30–06:30 weekends (typically 4–5 weeknights and 2–3 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)/n - Float between Belleville and Shiloh campuses to support facility needs/n - Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes/n - Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards/n /n Apply now to join our dedicated surgical nursing team in Belleville, IL, and take the next step in your travel healthcare career!
