Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position
requiring an active IL RN license and at least two years of recent
experience. Responsibilities - Acute care hospital setting on the
Med/Surg Tele unit - Day shifts, 12 hours (6:45-19:15), three
shifts per week - Every other weekend is required - Patient ratios
are 1:4-5 on days and 1:4-6 on nights and weekends - Floating is
required within scope to nearby affiliated hospitals as needed - IV
start experience and Med/Surg skills are required for this unit -
Uses Epic for electronic charting; prior Epic experience preferred
- Navy blue scrubs are required - Candidates will float within the
hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed - Must be willing to
work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule - No
on-call responsibilities are required for this role - Permanent
employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler to this
health system - Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per
13-week contract, with no time off permitted during the first week
of assignment - Compliance modules and fit testing are completed
during pre-orientation - No parking cost for staff on site -
Assignment length is 13 weeks Requirements - Active IL RN license
is required at the time of consideration - Minimum of 2 years
recent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience - Current BLS and ACLS
certifications are required - Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
- Must be able to start IVs independently - References from two
supervisory professionals within the past two years are required -
Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates
accepted - First-time travelers will be considered for this
