Job Description Job Description Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Compensation: $44 - $50 per visit, with a guaranteed amount of visits per pay period, processed bi-weekly. Shift Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM (flexible). The COTA for this position enjoys working with a team of supportive clinicians as well as being disciplined to ensure the highest level of care. Responsibilities: - Administer occupational therapy treatments that help patients reach their care goals in accordance with the Plan of Care and physician orders. - Assist in the implementation of programs and activities established by the OT to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performances and promote health and self-sufficiency. - Design and/or adapt equipment to the patient's working and/or living environment. - Evaluate effects of occupational therapy treatments; recommend adjustments and modifications in consultation with the OT and physician. - Participate in and contribute to case conferences and care coordination/discharge planning. Act as a resource to other healthcare personnel in order to meet patient's needs. - Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Qualifications: - 1-year experience as a COTA in home care, acute care, or rehab - Current state license as a COTA. - Proof of current CPR certification and valid Driver's license. - Ability to work and flexible schedule. - Excellent interpersonal skills.
