Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry position in an acute care hospital, requiring an active IL RN license and cardiac care skills. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in an acute care hospital setting on a 40-bed Telemetry unit - Provide care for cardiac patients including management of cardiac drips, sheath pulls, and central lines - Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6 - 12-hour night shifts (18:45-07:15), with every other weekend required - All inpatient units at both campuses may require floating within scope - Use Epic EMR; prior Epic experience required - Navy scrubs are required - No on-call responsibilities - Responsibilities include cardiac patient monitoring, managing critical care cardiac drips, performing hourly rounding, and conducting bedside shift reports - Facility is a Magnet hospital with a fast-paced cardiac unit - No local travelers accepted within the 75-mile radius - Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler - Maximum of 7 days requested time off allowed per 13-week contract with no time off permitted in the first week - Must be self-sufficient and able to adapt to floating between inpatient units as needed - Modules required pre-start and must be completed prior to assignment - Free staff parking is available - Facial hair must allow for proper fit testing, with shaving required if needed /n /n Requirements/n - Active IL RN license in hand at time of consideration (IL is not compact eligible) - Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience, including telemetry and cardiac drip management - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Epic charting system experience required - Ability to perform cardiac drips, sheath pulls, and central line care - Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility - No pending licenses accepted - First-time travelers accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-628480.
