records preferable Description: The position requires an
experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This
role involves working in a fast-paced environment with an average
daily census of 175. The emergency department comprises 56 beds.
The nurse will be responsible for interpreting and managing
dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Skills in
obtaining 12 lead EKGs, blood product administration, and starting
IVs are necessary. Continuous IV sedation and administration of
emergency medications will be part of the duties. Experience in
managing various neurological issues such as strokes and spinal
cord injuries is essential. Candidates must be able to manage
orthopedic situations, including splint application. Pediatric
care, including abdominal pain and respiratory infections, is a
requirement. The role also includes psychiatric care for conditions
like acute psychosis and drug overdoses. Respiratory skills such as
chest tube management and intubation are necessary. The candidate
must adhere to isolation precautions and triage protocols. Previous
experience using electronic medical records is required.
