DescriptionChildrens Home & Aid invites you to join our team of

supported in obtaining and maintaining clinical licensure through
in-house clinical supervision and reimbursement for licensure fees.

schedules flexible and caseloads low, with a focus on quality of
engagement and services over quantity of billable hours. We offer a
generous paid leave package that includes two weeks of paid
vacation in the first year (increasing over your tenure to more

additional floating holidays, and eleven paid holidays (including
Juneteenth, Veterans Day, and the day after Thanksgiving) each
year.What youll do as a Child Welfare Therapist:
- Provide in-home, community-based, and telehealth individual and
family therapy to children and families involved in the child
welfare system.
- Facilitate therapy groups to address parenting and anger
management.
- Coordinate services with DCFS, child welfare case managers, and
other relevant community providers, and develop appropriate
referral plans.
- Provide written reports and testimony in Juvenile Court
regarding the best interests of the children/family.
- Complete thorough and timely documentation, including
assessment and service notes, using a web-based client services
platform.Who you are:
- You have at least a Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling,
or a closely related field, and an Illinois clinical license (LCPC,
LCSW, LMFT).
- You have experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed
treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other
trauma-informed practice.
- Familiarity with the child welfare system strongly
preferred.
- Experience providing Medicaid-billed behavioral health services
a plus.
- You are able to meet with families in their homes, and you have
a valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- You are comfortable providing telehealth services as
needed.
- You are an intuitive, nonjudgmental listener who easily builds
relationships built on respect, trust and positive regard.
- You are warm, flexible, and hold a strong belief that
generational trauma can be healed through counseling.
- You know that working with kids who have experienced trauma
requires not only compassion and kindness, but also someone who
likes to have fun and doesnt take themselves too seriously.
- You are detail-driven, highly organized, and enjoy working
autonomously but are also excited by big-picture outcomes and the
opportunity to innovate and collaborate with a team to reach shared
goals.
- You are looking for reflective, clinical supervision and
opportunities for growth and training in your field.The details:
- Location: Hybrid (remote/community-based/office-based). Therapy
provided in client homes and other community based locations in St.
Clair and surrounding counties in Southern Illinois. Telehealth may
be provided as necessary on a limited basis. Therapists work from
home/preferred remote location during telehealth services and when
not attending in-home visits.
- Schedule: Full-time, salaried; general business hours with some
flexibility for evening appointments as needed to accommodate
client schedules.
- Staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and
to submit proof of their vaccination status before their start date
unless they have an agency approved medical or religious exemption.
Staff with an exemption will need to provide proof of weekly
testing. Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: Range starts at $61,000. Offers are commensurate with
experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional
financial compensation.
- Clinical licensure: Licensed clinicians receive reimbursement
of licensure renewal fees.
