A Project Engineer is responsible for field inspection and ensures that plans are being properly executed. The ideal candidate will have construction experience and understand basic principles of construction. The Project Engineer relies on this knowledge to understand how Stevens products will interface with both the actual construction and the building schedule. When issues are identified the Project Engineer takes a pro-active approach to create a positive solution for both the Contractor and the Stevens Project Management Team. The successful candidate will be a collaborative individual that works with construction site managers to create win-win solutions and strives to minimize back charges while maximizing on-time delivery.

This position will be in the St. Louis metro area.

Requirements

• Construction Management Degree or 4 years Construction Experience assisting or supervising construction projects
• Ability to solve problems that are frequent and unique. Broad directions, objectives and policies govern the work. Because conditions change frequently, the Project Engineer must use creativity and judgment. There is considerable latitude in the decisions made.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous projects at one time
• Building and construction knowledge of tools and methods, mathematics, design techniques blueprints drawings and models.
• Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
