Job Description:
The Client is seeking a Water Maintenance Technician to support
the operation, maintenance and repair of the City’s water
production and distribution systems. This hands-on position
involves operating equipment, repairing water mains, maintaining
treatment basins and grounds and supporting various construction
and maintenance tasks to ensure continuous and efficient water
service to the community. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in
construction or outdoor maintenance , particularly in water/sewer
line work. Familiarity with engine-driven tools (chainsaws, pumps,
compressors, etc.). Comfort working with two-cycle engines , pipe
cutting/measuring tools and other common construction equipment.
Required Qualifications: Must have some experience in
groundskeeping, general maintenance or construction labor. Must
possess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license . Ability to
perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
Capable of shift work, weekends, holidays, mandatory overtime and
24-hour emergency calls. Skills & Abilities: Operate and adjust a
variety of tools and machinery safely and effectively. Interpret
work orders, blueprints, maps and safety regulations. Perform basic
math (addition, subtraction, percentages, etc.). Communicate
clearly with supervisors and team members. Follow oral and written
instructions and safety protocols. Work Conditions & Benefits: Work
is primarily outdoors and physically demanding. Eligible for shift
differentials (1% for evenings/nights/weekends). Union position
